Writing: I Kicked NaNoWriMo’s Butt!!

Seriously. I was kicking this challenge in the butt. If you would like up close and personalize posts that follow my NaNoWriMo journeys, visit my NaNoWriMo blog

I figured I would give some updates to you, considering how non-frequent I am with that. But if I posted every single thing going on, I wouldn’t have anything to update about. So, it’s good to spread things out and have some details pile up. Makes good for a longer post, right?

First on my list is that I completed Need You a couple days ago. Yeah, I zoomed to the ending! While I’m on the topic: I decided to keep Chad’s and Dylan’s stories together when I post them to Wattpad. Because Dylan’s story is really going to be quite short, and there are maybe a few things that are already known because of Chad’s story, so . . . Yeah.

I’ve jumped from writing NaNoWriMo to wanting to finish my NaNoWriMo I had begun in April but stopped due to the move. I don’t remember if I shared anything about it, but I will share some info on that another time. In case I did mention it, the title is A Call To Love.

I said I would get back to my other writing after I finished NaNoWriMo, or after July was over. Well, I finished NaNoWriMo. I can go back to writing Pieces of Us and Black & Blues. Because I’m starting to run out of chapters and I don’t want them to sit there unfinished for who knows how long. I have some stories like that, but I didn’t intend for that to happen.

WattyI entered 3 of my works into the #Wattys2017 on Wattpad. Pieces of Me, Pieces of Us, and Need You, See YouNeed You, See You is both Danes Brothers’ story titles put together. I figured, why not give the contest another try. I was a finalist at one point with a fan-fiction called The Roleplay. It was a major cross-over of all the stars I was obsessing with at the time.

Final bit of news before I end this post. I sent Pieces of Me to another editor. I mentioned this before, so I won’t go over it again. But the imprint I had sent it to got a new senior editor. She emailed me yesterday and told me I could send her my sample chapters to read. Let’s see how this goes!
